Serguei Zlenko (Finland):
'Best
traditions of representational art, and in particular the ones of powerful Moscow Art school, are displayed in the works
of Russian-Finnish artist Sergey Zlenko. Working in different genres, the artist first of all realizes himself as a Russian
artist with a strong academic school and creates most of his works in this style. At the same time he intertwines some impressionistic
motives in his pieces. Being inspired by the images of ballerinas, cityscapes and seascapes, or giving tribute to portrait
paintings, or drawing horses, or modeling sculpture, the artist fulfills the task of realistic representation of the world
around us, emphasizing what’s peculiar to the given moment. The artist does not aspire to get in a mainstream of any
new fashionable trends. Having found his style of expression he consistently and persistently tries to return us to the classical
form of perception of the world.'
