Galina
Lopatina (Russia): 'Galina Lopatin works in the diversified styles, genres and techniques
of the modern art - from the posters to the paintings to grandiose, both on scale and on workmanship, frescoes in the restored
Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the main Russian orthodox cathedral. The artist of a wide creative range, she is original
and picturesque even in her graphic sheets. In order to capture the nature in her works, she uses both decorative approach
and methods of plein-air painting. In her works a feast of colours coexists with delicate light and shade effects,
and her almost monochromatic symbolical landscapes and still lifes depict the silk painting techniques. Her amazing creations
prove that she is an art master of great talent.'
